The work in this series consists of repeated colors, textures and shapes that echo the repetitive nature of the waves and the sky. From the chunky paint strokes to the carved and exposed wood, I wanted each painting to feel like something you could have found at the beach. Like a log of driftwood or a treasured seashell, they are physical reminders of what we experience at the shore. The truth that day after day, and wave after wave, our earth’s rhythms provide all that we need. And it is good.
